HALF-DAY BARISTA SKILLS COURSE

A Barista...... is an expert in making espresso and other speciality coffee using an espresso machine. If you currently own or have recently purchased or are about to purchase, an espresso machine then this is the course for you! Each half-day course can accommodate up to 6 delegates.

Aims: To ensure delegates utilise their espresso machine and equipment to deliver excellent coffee and gain an introduction to the coffee revolution.

Course Objectives: Gain an introduction to coffee from bean to cup - Extract the perfect espresso - Understand the importance of steaming and foaming milk effectively - Prepare five different gourmet coffees

Course Contents: Understanding why we train Baristas! - Understanding coffee and your chosen bean blend - Understanding your coffee grinder - Understanding your espresso machine - Making and perfecting the ‘extraction time’ - The art of ‘foaming’ and ‘steaming’ milk - Producing gourmet and speciality coffees - Cleaning and maintenance of your machine - Course review
